Presentation
Eurotech is a voluntary consortium which groups together many enterprises of the environmental field. The main purpose of the consortium is to promote the expertise, solutions and technologies of its members in foreign countries.
Eurotech’s members are focused mainly on the production of reused material and in the recovery and treatment of end-of-life products. Eurotech’s experience comes from the Italian expertise in waste technologies (in 1993 Italy was the first country to propose a pilot scheme for the recovery of cartridges). These waste technologies can easily be promoted abroad in terms of solutions and systems of treatment, new products and lead-free technologies for greener production and eco-manufacturing.
The consortium promotes the quality of end-of-life products from the Information Technology and Electrical and Electronic sectors and it selects the processes of certification which can be nationally and internationally accepted.
Its activity is of particular interest in relation to the WEEE (Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directives.
